Statement from our supplier on the Greek Island of Hydra:

"Kali Mera from the Hotel Nefeli, Hydra, Greece. As you know Greece, particularly Athens, has been on the news a great deal lately and not for the best of reasons. For us on Hydra, as with many of the Greek Islands, what is happening in Athens, exaggerated or not by the media, is very different from the reality of our every day lives which are calm and the same as they always have been. We would like to assure you that there are no such strikes on Hydra and crime continues to be unheard of. Hydra, as with many small Greek islands, relies totally on tourism. Without tourists Hydra would not be the beautiful, time persevered island it is and the many businesses from chic jewellery stores, tavernas, trendy cafes right to the mule drivers, would not be here if it wasn’t for you. Wishing you all the best, assuring you that all is well here on Hydra and we look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards, Alexandra"
