In the same area as the Buffavento, the Stella Maris occupies a dramatic position affording spectacular views to the sea and to the foothills (300 metres behind the villa) of the heavily wooded Paphos mountains. The pool is in a particularly dramatic location. From the villa and from Villa Buffavento nearby, steps and path (steep and difficult to negotiate in parts) lead down to a small shingle cove amidst rocky pools 40 metres below.

 

The road from Polis passes through a number of villages, offering a choice of restaurants and eating places. If you would like to be at one with the sea, as if on a cruise liner, this is the place.

Notes: Children under 9 should be supervised. Paths/steps to sea are steep and may be unsuitable for the elderly or infirm.
