Widely acclaimed as one of the most glamorous resorts in South America, (it is often referred to as the “St Tropez” of South America), Punta Del Este boasts a coastline full of beautiful beaches, crystalline sea, glamorous nightlife, chic restaurants and unique cultural activities.

The geographical and commercial centre of Punta Del Este is the peninsula. An Ocean front promenade, the Rambla General Artigas, runs along the peninsula and is lined with cafés, bars and seafood restaurants. There is also Punta Del Este’s port: where you can view luxury yachts belonging to South America’s elite. There are a variety of beaches in and around Punta Del Este, from the busy to the remote. As a result of the Peninsula’s unique location, the “Playa Mansa” beaches to the west of the peninsula (Rio de la Plata side) are host to calmer waters, whilst the “Playa Brava” beaches to the east (the Atlantic side) are home to much cooler water and rougher waves.

The best time to visit Punta Del Este is from December to March.
