General health and safety measures

The coronavirus situation around Finland can vary widely, so local advice should be followed. In Helsinki, the wearing of face masks is recommended for all persons aged 15 or above at public events and spaces such as banks and shops.

Across the country, social distancing guidance remains in force and face masks are recommended in public transportation and in other situations where it is difficult to maintain 1-2m distance from others.

Restaurants, Cafes and Bars

Restaurants, cafés and bars are operating normally, however indoor seating must be available to all customers and safe distances must be maintained. Outdoor seating is not restricted, however safe distances must be maintained. Service providers are required to ensure that customers can wash or sanitise their hands upon arrival.
