Hacienda Piman

Northern Ecuador

Features

  • Ibarra
  • Half Board

This charming hacienda is located in Ibarra, 120km north of Quito.

Disconnect from daily life and immerse yourself in the rich cultural and natural heritage of one of Ecuador’s most captivating regions at this historic retreat. Situated in a valley between the mountains, this is a peaceful and comfortable hacienda offering delicious home-cooking and a warm welcome.

The rooms, like the overall architecture, are a marriage of the old and new. They combine the character of thick stone walls, exposed bricks and antiques with all the modern conveniences you need for a comfortable stay. The 17 rooms are spread across the main manor house (7 rooms) and five cottages (2 rooms in each one).

Ibarra is the capital of the Imbabura Province in the Northern Ecuadorian Andes.  It is an attractive old-fashioned market town with white-walled colonial buildings (giving it the nickname The White city), cobbled streets and peaceful squares.  From Ibarra it is possible to take the railway to the Afro-Ecuadorian community of Salinas passing through lush green valleys and volcanoes which takes approximately 2 hours each way.

This hacienda comes highly recommended.
