Scalesia Galapagos Lodge

Galapagos Islands

Features

  • Highlands, Isabela island
  • Half Board board basis
  • Restaurant
  • 3 & 4 night packages with transfers and daily activities included

Situated in the highlands of Isabela Island (9 miles from Puerto Villamil) on the slopes of a volcano. This modern deluxe safari-style tented camp is nestled on a 40 acre magical forest, with a spectacular view of the coast and other islands dotted on the horizon.

The main lodge has 3 separate social areas for relaxation and reading and a restaurant where guests enjoy their breakfast and evening meals. This is linked to 16 tents by a series of pathways that wind their way through the forest. Each of the tents have a terrace and bathroom (hot water shower) all on a raised hardwood flooring, and a king sized or two full sized beds.

The lodge offers fixed 3 night (Thu-Sun) and 4 night (Sun-Thu) packages that include half board (breakfast & dinner), daily guided excursions and return transfers from Puerto Villamil airport or port.

Optional activities (payable locally) include mountain biking, kayaking, scuba, diving and surfing.

An exciting addition to our land-based programme in the Galapagos.

The journey to the Galapagos islands starts in either Quito or Guayaquil.  There are flights from both these cities to Baltra airport (Baltra island).  From there there are two options to travel to Isabela island. Either you can either transfer to Puerto Ayora (on neighbouring Santa Cruz island) to board a speed boat to Puerto Villamil port (approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes one way) or alternatively take an inter-island flight from Baltra to Puerto Villamil (approximately 30 minutes).
