The most dramatic view of the Amalfi coast is from the enchanting town of Ravello, 400m above sea level. One of the best vantage points is from the Villa Rufolo and its tropical gardens, famed for being the inspiration for ‘Parsifal’, Richard Wagner’s last and possibly greatest opera. The annual Wagner opera festival takes place here between June and July.
