Day 1: Fly Gatwick, East Midlands, Bristol or Manchester to Corfu (Monday day flights). Transfer to hotel near Corfu port for overnight stay ready for ferry crossing to Albania in the morning.

Day 2: Ferry crossing to Saranda departing at 08.30 (takes just over 60 mins) and transfer to Gjirokastra. Guided walking tour of the old town, including the castle and ethnographic museum. Lunch included. Drive north to Berat. Walking tour of the old town and visit Onufri icon museum. Overnight Berat (kms 155).

Day 3: To Tirana via Durres for lunch (incl.) Sightseeing tour of Tirana including the National Museum and the Mosque of Etem Bay. Overnight Tirana (kms 190).

Day 4: Drive to historic Kruja and explore the town, castle and old bazaar. Lunch included. Overnight Tirana (kms 100).

Day 5: Turn west towards the sea. Visit Ardenica Monastery, then the famous site of Apollonia. After lunch (included) head for the coastal village of Himara for overnight stay (kms 179).

Day 6: A day of rest and relaxation by the sea at Himara (see next page). Overnight at Himara.

Day 7: Scenic coastal drive to Saranda. Guided excursion to Ancient Butrint followed by lunch before your afternoon boat to Corfu (dep. c.17.30). On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Corfu Town.

Day 8: Transfer to airport, or resort for your second week. Monday lunchtime flight back to UK.

One single room has been included where appropriate in Albania. There will however be a single room supplement for one night in the Corfu hotel (on request).

Prices include flights, boat tickets, entry/exit taxes, guided tours, transfers and transportation as described, entrance fees to sites, lunch included on days 2-5 and day 7, B&B hotel(s). For visa purposes we require the following information for each person: Christian name, date and place of birth, passport number and expiry date. (Manchester, East Midlands and Bristol supplement £35). Prices for party sizes apply only if booking together. Itineraries and timings are subject to change should local conditions so dictate. Spending money for meals and refreshments estimate 200-250 euros. The main towns have ATMs (Visa only) and Travellers Cheques can be changed, but we’d recommend taking euros. Please note Albanian time is 1 hour behind Greece (so BST +1). We would not recommend these tours to anyone with mobility difficulties.
