Holidays using train travel in Italy and Sicily

Train travel is one of the easiest and most economical ways of travelling within Italy & Sicily, especially between the major cities and towns. Cities such as Venice, Florence, Rome, Catania and Syracuse are all connected by the state-run system operated by the Ferrovie Dello Stato (FS). Travel between Venice and Rome by Eurostar train will take approximately 4 1/2 hours compared to a drive of 5-6 hours (excluding stops and traffic delays).

There are four main categories of train in Italy but, wherever possible, we book the Eurostar or Intercity trains for our clients. These trains provide the highest degree of comfort and the quickest journey times. Over recent years many of our clients have asked us to arrange train travel for them.
