Brush up your painting skills on a Greek island

The island of Alonissos, in the Sporades archipelago, is home to exquisite landscapes that would have had Turner reaching for his paint palette. Well-known British artist Chris Hughes knows all the best spots – from seascape vistas and hilltop villages to landscapes awash with wildflowers. During five, three to four hour lessons, Chris will teach a range of watercolour painting techniques to help you capture the island’s beauty. In 2015, seven nights’ self-catering accommodation at Pefkas Apartments cost from £732 pp (two sharing) including flights (Gatwick) and transfers. A week’s worth of painting sessions costs £195 pp.
