A few kilometres from Castelbuono, an ancient village of the Madonie with a strong medieval flavour, and on the road to Geraci, this rural property stands in the Vallone Saraceno, an archaeological site dating back to Greek and Roman times. The remains of the village’s Saracen origins can today be seen in the museum of Castelbuono. Originally a vegetable plot of the old Bergi fiefdom, with the passage of the years its agricultural activities have grown and, for the last ten years, it has added hospitality to these activities.

The property covers about 8 hectares, planted with fruit orchards, olives and vegetables, a rich vegetation which contrasts with the golden stone of which the house is built and evokes the simple rural life of the past. The owners, the Di Garbo family, uses its own organic products as the principal ingredients for its cooking, based on traditional dishes of the Madonie countryside.
