I love all the diverse ingredients in Brazil; a nation of people who fully embrace fiestas, the rich architectural heritage dating back to the 16th century and the largest wetlands in the Americas.

Get in touchAlso covered in the Argentina section of our website, the Iguaçu Falls (‘Cataratas do Iguaçu’ in Portuguese), bordering the southern state of Parana, Argentina and Paraguay are probably the most impressive sight in Brazil if not in the whole of South America and are considered to be one of the natural wonders of the world.
Around 275 individual waterfalls combine to form this spectacular sight; a waterfall nearly 3 km in length with a deafening sound that can be heard from miles away.As well as the falls themselves, the national park has a lot to offer. The vegetation in the surrounding area is incredibly lush and the sub-tropical climate makes it a superb location for bird watching as well as being a ‘hotspot’ for huge numbers of butterflies and orchids.
These spectacular falls can be experienced in many ways. A speed boat trip for those with a sense of adventure! The boat trip can be arranged from either the Argentinean side or Brazilian side of the falls – be prepared to get wet! Alternatively, to take in the vast area of the falls, there is no better way then to view from the air. Helicopter trips which provide a ten minute flight of wonder – a must for keen photographers!
