Bellevue Syrene Hotel

The Bellevue Syrene, originally a count’s summer retreat, opened as a hotel in 1820. Perched on the edge of a cliff top, the hotel provides magnificent views from all the bedrooms, terraces and ‘Mimmo Iodice’ dining room. The hotel is tastefully furnished throughout with European antiques, fabulous frescoes and mosaics. There is even a stunning replica of ‘Villa Pompeiana’ from the ruins of Pompeii – the room is only used for special occasions. An exceptional hotel, 5-minutes walk from the centre, highly favoured by Eugenie, the Empress of France in the 19th century.
