Probably the most sought after Parador in Spain, the property is set across a small green valley from the Alhambra Palace and gardens of Generalife of which there are spectacular views from the extensive tree shaded terrace of the Parador and the exotic terraced gardens below.

The Parador is a small 4 star hotel set in a 15th century convent which is part of the palace and mosque complex of The Alhambra. Building on the part which includes the Parador was started under Arab rule in 1332 and 1354 and was later converted into Franciscan convent. The building was the former chapel where the kings of Spain were buried until their remains were moved to the Royal Chapel where they now lie. The interior of the Parador merges Moorish and Christian styles with some classic furniture, tapestries, portraits and engravings.  Each room is different but all have a view of some aspect of the Alhambra complex.

This is a stunning location and any reservation here would have to be made months in advance.
