Neromylos

One of the two stone buildings here was originally an old watermill (the meaning of ‘neromylos’) dating from 1830, although you’d be hard pressed to spot which one such is the sympathetic design of the newer one (it’s the one on the left!).  Surrounded by lush pretty gardens, Neromylos is located towards the end of a quiet lane and hence enjoys very peaceful rural surroundings with no passing traffic, yet is but a 5 minute easy walk from the beach, shops, cafes and tavernas in the centre of the village.

The four apartments here have been carefully and tastefully done to give a flavour of old Greece but with all mod cons. They are kept cool through the use of local stone and wood, and a traditional design (stone archways etc.).

Three apartments (named Alkyon and Nireus in the left building and Kamares in the right) are on the ground floor and have terrace areas opening onto the gardens – one apartment (Milos) is on the first floor reached by 14 stone steps and has a large open sun terrace.  All have a double bedroom, a living room area with fitted kitchen, nice modern shower room and private furnished terrace. Mod cons include air conditioning, internet connection (WiFi as well as fixed), hairdryer and room safe. Views are of the gardens and mountain (Milos has a side sea view also). In Milos apartment the owner has preserved some of the original watermill mechanism as a feature.
The ground floor apartments can sleep a third person, either on a sofa bed in the living room or in a small single separate bedroom with AC (but no window) – Milos is smaller and for couples only.

For sunbathers there are common sun terraces above the left hand building where sunbeds can be provided.

All the amenities of this friendly little seaside village are within a flat five minute walk (400m), including a choice of taverna restaurants, cafes, small shops, and the main beach (there are others to the south).
