The Ashbee Hotel

The Ashbee Hotel was originally built as a private villa in 1908 from designs by architect Robert Charles Ashbee, famed as an early member of the Arts and Craft movement. Today, it has been transformed into a luxury hotel offering all the comforts required for a relaxing stay. Each of the 25 guest rooms are spacious and have been individually decorated to a high standard, with many featuring antique furniture.

The beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the hotel have been planted with exotic plants and traditional Sicilian fruit trees including lemons, oranges and grapefruits, whilst the swimming pool area offers panoramic views of the Sicilian coastline and across the Ionian Sea towards Calabria. Located in the historical centre of Taormina, just 100m from the Greek amphitheatre, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore this ancient hilltop town and surrounding countryside.
