Overview
Introduction
Our experienced local representative, Annette has been introducing our guests to the delights of Lemnos for many years, sharing her extensive island knowledge and insider tips. Her passion for the island is infectious and now shared by those who choose to return year-on-year. Our seven night activity and experience holiday on Lemnos has been designed by Annette, based on the feedback and requests she has received. There is no high recommendation than that of a valued, repeat visitor.

Notes:
- The holiday will operate for departures on 27th September 2024, 23rd May 2025 and 26th September 2025 and is based on our direct flight flight from London Gatwick.
- Single supplement £185 - £199
- Activities operate subject to local conditions and the order in which they are listed may change. We reserve the right to substitute excursions for those of equivalent value should circumstances dictate this. Minimum numbers apply (normally 6 persons) and not all excursions are private i.e. may be shared with non-group participants.
- The holiday cost is based on staying at the Sotiris Apartments in a Studio - any other available Lemnos accommodation can be booked at a supplement (transfers will be provided to/from start/end points)
- The accommodation can be extended for an additional week or two if desired at a very reasonable cost - please enquire.
- Should the minimum number for this holiday to operate (normally 6 persons) not be achieved we will try to adapt the excursions to fit the smaller numbers. If this is not possible then an appropriate reduction will be offered or you can cancel with a full refund.

Day 1 - Arrival on Lemnos
On arrival at Lemnos airport you will be met by Annette transferred to the Sotiris Apartments in Myrina.
The Sotiris Apartments are a firm favourite of the Sunvil team and are one of the most highly praised properties on our Greece programme.

Day 2 - Visit to a traditional Lemnian vineyard and wine tasting
Lemnos is the most important wine producing island of the north Aegean. It has been known for its wine since at least Classical times (Lemnian wine is praised by Aristotle). So what better island on which to have a delightful vineyard visit, personally guided by the owner, followed by a tasting with snacks - and a bottle to take away with you!

Day 3 - Half day walking excursion
Walking is one of the most popular activities on Lemnos. A 5km guided stroll of the island's countryside is included. It is only on foot that you allow yourself the time and peace of mind to appreciate the landscape around you; the sights, sounds and smells. Your destination is the village of Kontias, where refreshments and a simple meze will be served. Afternoon at leisure in Myrina. Why not visit the Blue Flag Plati beach for a refreshing swim?

Day 4 - Full day island tour
Explore further and gain a richer appreciation of this Aegean island on a full-day small bus tour, with guide. You'll visit archaeological sites, small villages and even have time for a swim.

Day 5 - Sunset cruise
Day at leisure on Lemnos. Head back to your favourite spot, visit a yet-explored sight, find a waterfront taverna and watch the world go by, the choice is yours.
This evening we have included a sunset cruise for you. This is a relaxing trip which includes snacks and wine on board and offers a chance to see dolphins and, weather dependent, a wonderful sunset.

Day 6 - Cookery lesson and tasting with Rena
Today's cookery lesson is one of those experiences that you'll not only remember long after your return to the UK, but will allow you to add a little slice of Lemnos into your daily life. Mrs Rena, an excellent cook, will teach you how to make two traditional Greek dishes. Whilst the food is cooking her husband will give you a tour around their olive groves (including showing how they produce their olive oil) and farm. Lunch will be the fruits of your labour, accompanied by local cheeses, salad and a dessert. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Transfer to Lemnos Airport for your return flight to the UK, or extend your holiday to enjoy an extra week on Lemnos.

Offering high, modern standards of accommodation, the Sotiris Apartments are the pick of Myrina's accommodation. With lush pretty gardens to the front they enjoy a quiet residential location convenient for both beach (3 minutes to popular Riha Nera) and town (10 mins, 20 to the harbour). A reasonable choice of tavernas can be found within a 5-10 minute stroll.
The accommodation is housed in two 3-storey buildings. Most are studios, spacious and nicely furnished in a tasteful modern style. All studios have twin beds (can be placed flush together) with fitted kitchen area (2 rings, full fridge), shower room/wc, air conditioning, room safe, hairdryer, telephone and large front balcony or terrace. Those on the ground floor are slightly stepped back from one another and combine well for families – they all have a good-sized garden patio with sun umbrella; those on the upper floors have sunblinds and enjoy views to Myrina’s castle, especially attractive at night when floodlit. All have space enough for a full-sized third bed if required, and some can even sleep four.
The apartments have identical facilities and comprise a double bedroom and a second room containing fitted kitchen area (mini-oven, rings, fridge) and one or two full-sized beds – an extra (fifth) bed can be placed here for a child. One (the larger) is ground floor and possesses a nice-sized garden patio (recommended for families).
All units are spacious, light and airy with air-conditioning included at no extra charge. Highly recommended, you won’t find a better location or standards in Myrina.
