The landscape of Northern Norway is breathtaking at any time of year but, during the winter months with its snow-capped mountains, low dusk sunlight and shimmering fjords, it is truly magical. On our 7 night tour, you will be taken away from the university city of Tromso to the authentic and unspoiled island of Uloya. Staying at the owner-managed Arctic Panorama Lodge you will be spoiled with a stunning backdrop of the Lyngen Alps. You can sit for hours enjoying the scenery as well as the attentive, personal service provided. Day 3 - Polar Museum
During your time in Tromsø why not visit the Polar Museum. It tells about expeditions, everyday life and adventures in the Arctic from the 17th century to the present day. With its location far to the north, Tromsø has served as the gateway to the Arctic Ocean for both adventurers, trappers and researchers. The exhibitions tell about the explorer Willem Barentsz's very first meeting with white bears, about daring hot air balloon journeys over the polar regions and flimsy Christmas celebrations in the trapper's hut on Svalbard. The Polar Museum was established in 1978, 50 years after Roald Amundsen left Tromsø in the seaplane Latham, on his very last journey. The story of Amundsen, Nansen and contemporary explorers of the polar regions has its natural place in the exhibitions. The museum is located in the city's old customs buildings and also convey polar history with local roots.

Day 6 - Whale watching tour
Few things are as thrilling as spotting the Earth’s largest mammals at the ocean’s surface. Get up close and personal with magnificent resident orcas, minke and humpback whales. Unlike other tours, we use a boat designed exclusively for whale watching. Some get so close to the boat you can almost touch them. Our heated rubber cabin boat is safe and versatile, and built to get as close as possible to these giants without disturbing them. While on board, you’re likely to see whales spouting, or coming up to the surface for air, and breaching, or leaping part way out of the water – an experience to never forget! Our local guide has over 20 years of experience taking visitors to see the whales, and is well-versed on their natural habitats and surrounding wildlife.
