This is a comfortable 2-star hotel that deserves to be a 3 star with 18 rooms. It boasts a lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and a good restaurant. Passionately managed by owner Juan Carlos and Antonio , one of of his six brothers. This is an excellent choice for a stay in what is a beautiful village.Juan Carlos's wife is the cook here, everyone should try her tasting menu.
There is much to see and do in the area. Those who enjoy walking or cycling can put the Via Verde del Aceite to good use. It’s a green route – a collection of historical former railway lines, once used to transport olives for pressing after the harvest in November, and passes below the village. They have now been repurposed as excellent hiking and cycling routes, with the old station buildings now re-imagined as small hotels, restaurants, bars, bike-hire shops and the like. Impressive viaducts dating back to the 19th century - from the school of Eiffel - offer spectacular views in all directions. The olive oil Via Verde runs for 128km from Jaen to Punte Genil.
Set within the Natural Park and Geopark Sierras Subbeticas, this is an ideal spot in which to relax and enjoy the countryside as well as discovering the local traditions and customs of a typical small Andalusian village. Zuheros is also ideally located for day trips to the cities of Córdoba (75 km), Granada (100 km), Jaén (70 km) and Seville (170 km).
The hotel is also used for accommodation in our 7 Night Subbetica Cycle Tour itinerary.
