The MJ Hotel is located in the heart of Malmo; just a stone’s throw from Lilla Torg, one of the city’s most captivating squares and filled with restaurants, cafes and enthralling 16th century buildings. Built in 1990 and recently remodelled, the hotel offers spacious accommodation of the highest standard and a relaxed sophisticated environment. Its concept is to offer guests 'an urban oasis made by friends' and its interior design is plush and artistic.

Dating from 1678, the property was once the largest farm in the area and provided horses and soldiers to the King during times of conflict. The story of the hotel is told through black and white pictures in the public areas and lounges.
Guest accommodation, decorated in a simple, rural style, is divided between the 17th century farm and three detached annexe buildings. The restaurant, in a panoramic extension adjoining the original building, is considered one of the ten best eateries in Sweden and prides itself on high quality, traditional and gourmet
food. Local, seasonal and ecological produce, especially the freshly caught seafood and vegetables, is the order of the day.

Owner-managed by Bo and Gunilla Madsen, Karlaby Kro is a delightful find. Originally built as a farm in the late 19th century, the property has been delicately converted and renovated to offer accommodation of a high standard. The spacious guest rooms, housed within the former stables, are beautifully decorated in a homely style that reflects the heritage of the building; ceramic floor tiles and natural colours are used throughout.
The original manor is home to a restaurant which specialises in serving local cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. The menu is designed to highlight the best of what the region has to offer - asparagus from Skillinge, apples from Kivik and berries from Ingelstorp are readily used - and during the summer months can be enjoyed by guests on the terrace.
