Four nights with activities at the Lapland Guesthouse

Itinerary includes:

• Flights from London Heathrow to Kiruna via Stockholm (other airports on request)
• Private transfer on arrival and departure
• 4-nights’ accommodation at Lapland Guesthouse, Kangos (Full Board)

Our four-night package includes four experiences:

Snowmobile Tour (6-hours)

This is aimed at the novice entry level so do not worry if you have never driven one before. You will need a driving licence to drive yourself and children can accompany an adult. The excursion takes between 2 and 6 hours depending on local conditions. Lunch and coffee is served out in the wild. Driving through untouched nature is exciting and unforgettable and the snowmobile enables you to reach places which are almost inaccessible at other times of the year.

Dog Sled Tour (4-hours)

If you have never been pulled silently through fresh snow behind a pack of panting, eager and excited huskies then you have missed one of life's privileged experiences. You do not need any experience and children can accompany an adult which adds to the thrill and bonds the parent with the child. The tour lasts about 4 to 5 hours and a meal is served out in the wild.

Northern Lights Tour (2-hours)

You can be lucky or unlucky when it comes to seeing the northern lights. However, the location of Lapland Guesthouse provides the perfect conditions to experience the dancing light display. Nothing is more mysterious than watching this display from a silent dark forest. The duration of the excursion is approximately 2-hours, a campfire is lit and coffee provided. Children can, of course, accompany adults.

Snowshoe Tour (2-hours)

Snowshoeing takes us back in time. No machines to power or dogs to pull you through the snow. The silent trek through the snow needs no experience and lasts between 2 and 4-hours depending on the local conditions. Lunch and/or coffee is provided by the campfire. Of course, children can join.

Please bear in mind that local conditions have to be taken into account. However, the activities described are discussed individually with your guides so that the duration and time suit your requirements. It is not a question of having an activity at a fixed time. Suitable warm clothing for the excursions is provided.

The Lapland Guesthouse is set in Kangos, a small community 150 km above the Arctic Circle. A vast open wilderness of lakes and forests surrounds Kangos and the Guesthouse. This is a classic Sunvil property, intimate with just 10 rooms and owner managed and created by Johan and Eva.

The Guesthouse lies 144 km east of Kiruna Airport and just to add a little spice to the normally 2-hour transfer, you will stop at the Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi which is only 14-minutes from the airport for a quick look at the ice sculptures decorating the rooms which have made the Swedish Icehotel internationally famous.
