Sacha Lodge is situated beside the tranquil oxbow Lake Pilchicocha, part of the Napo River. It is surrounded by thirteen square kilometeres of its own primary rainforest. The wooden, thatched roof buildings blend in to the surrounding forest and offer an experience which is always close to nature. The 26 cabins are all simply furnished, have private bathroom with shower and hot water, ceiling fan, and spacious porches with hammocks from where you canrelax and listen to the rich and varied sounds of the jungle.


Guests can also enjoy a raised lookout above the bar and lounge which offers a scenic view of Pilchicocha Lake. Guests are divided into small groups led by a native guide and a bilingual naturalist guide. Activities during the stay may include guided walks, dugout canoe rides, visits to a clay lick, a Quechua village, the 43 metre high observation tower and the butterfly farm. There is also a 300 metre long walkway which threads through the jungle canopy.
