At the heart of Ecuador's lake district, the Hacienda Pinsaqui is ideally located at the base of the Imbabura Volcano and within easy reach of the colonial city of Ibarra, Cotacahi village known for handicrafts. Built in 1790, the hacienda was originally a colonial textile enterprise, employing over 1000 weavers and spinners. So successful was the business that many of the fabrics produced here were exported to USA in the late 19th Century.


Hacienda Pinsaqui offers 30 suites with fireplaces, some with Jacuzzi bath. Each room is unique and most overlook the 200 year old grounds with ponds, palm trees and well kept gardens. There is a white stone walled restaurant which displays historic art and offers wonderful views of the grounds. The restaurant serves some of the finest Ecuadorian  and International cuisine. Horse riding, mountain biking and hiking are a few of the activities guest can enjoy here.
