Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion

Amazon Basin Peru

  • Tambopata, Southern Amazon Basin
  • Amazon Lodge
  • Full Board and daily activities included

The newest of the Inkaterra jungle lodges, the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is located next to the majestic Madre de Dios river and about 30 minutes down river from Puerto Maldonado.

Originally a cacao and rubber plantation, then an Amazon catholic medical mission center, the hacienda acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Park Reserve and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios river.

The two storey main lodge houses the dining room, bar and lounge, and 8 attractively furnished standard bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The eco center, located in a separate building, is the meeting point for presentations and has details of the daily excursions available to guests.

In the grounds there are 17 wooden cabanas built in a traditional Amazonian style with log chairs on private enclosed terraces. They are equipped with mosquito nets, hammocks and private showers and separate toilets. There are standard cabanas with jungle view, superior cabanas with lake view and suite cabanas. Electricity is limited, however kerosene lamps (and torches) are provided for the evenings.

Daily group activities included.
