The Palazzo Giovanelli is a charming 16th century building well positioned overlooking the Grand Canal and set between the magnificent Church of San Stae and the modern art museum ‘Ca’ Pesaro’. This former palace has been, at one time, home to the last Doge of Venice (Marco Foscarini buried in the Church of San Stae) and the great Austrian composer Mozart’s family. The spacious lounges feature Murano-glass chandeliers and elegant Italian furniture but the hotel's facilities are modern. The hotel is set in a tranquil quarter of Venice, hidden from the constant bustle of the city  and convenient for reaching the major sites of Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge.
