Northern Light tours

Northern Lights, the chase and the bonfire

In old Lapp folklore the Northern Lights represented a powerful energy source that could be harnessed by shamen to solve the community’s problems. They could be dangerous too: it was believed that if you whistled under the Northern Lights, they would swoop down and take you away into the sky.

This small group (16 people) tour you will take you away from the artificial lights of Tromso in search of the Northern Lights. During your drive you will be told interesting facts about the Aurora Borealis, both scientific and folklore.
