Hotel Belmar

Hotel Belmar is a family-owned boutique eco-hotel nestled in the cloud forests of Monteverde. Established in 1985, the hotel features alpine-style chalet architecture with Costa Rican flair, set across nine acres of private cloud forest. Guests can enjoy full immersion in nature, with panoramic forest views, abundant wildlife, and lush trails within the property that lead through a private forest towards a spring-fed lake.

The hotel holds a 5-level sustainability certification and is certified carbon neutral. It remains current with modern concepts, such as its on-site microbrewery, its craft cocktails and juice bar, and its farm-to-table spa and restaurant.

Celajes Restaurant is the main dining venue serving à la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's Farm-to-table concept uses produce from Finca Madre Tierra, the hotel's own organic farm. The Celajes Lounge Bar serves cocktails and mocktails, including house-made kombucha creations.

The hotel's on-site craft brewery, Cervecería Belmar (Tap Room & Beer Garden) has live music on Saturdays and the Juice Bar & Tea Room serves fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, snacks and coffee throughout the day.

Enjoy serene spa and massage treatments using organic, locally sourced ingredients. A dedicated yoga room with forest views provides an inspiring space for practice and meditation. The hotel also features an outdoor Jacuzzi with views of the forest.

• Canopy Room – Top-floor location, in-room whirlpool Jacuzzi, cloud forest views.
• Sunset Room – Views of the Nicoya Peninsula and the Pacific.

Located on the first floor of the main building. The Nicoya Suite features the topmost views of the Gulf of Nicoya and its splendid sunsets. Double exposure panoramic windows allow for a 270° vista of the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
