Evergreen Lodge

Evergreen Lodge is a family-friendly lodge on Costa Rica's north Caribbean coast, just a 5-minute boat ride from the main entrance to Tortuguero National Park.

The style of the lodge connects you with nature, as many of the cabins and bungalows are located in two acres of pristine forest, linked by wooden canopy walkways and surrounded by wildlife. You'll likely be woken up in the morning by nature’s alarm clock — howler monkeys calling in the trees above you.

The 55 eco-friendly guest rooms are all built cabina style, above ground, connected to each other and to the common areas by above-ground walkways. These spacious rooms feature hardwood furniture, tasteful decor, soft linens, private baths and ceiling fans. There is no television or air conditioning.

Buffet-style meals are served in the open-air dining room and the bar in front of the lagoon is a great place to relax over a refreshing drink, and you can enjoy quiet downtime in the comfortable lounges dotted around the grounds. There's an inviting outdoor swimming pool, ideal for cooling off in the midday heat and the spa offers a range of services including massages to ease tired muscles.

Activities available include boat trips, kayaking, forest walks and wildlife spotting in Tortuguero, known for its varied flora and fauna. You can also watch turtles if you're here during the egg-laying season, July to October.

Evergreen Lodge is committed to the environment and sustainable development. Therefore, we have been working diligently to obtain sustainability certifications by implementing various measures and programs, including but not limited to energy and water conservation, recycling programs, and training programs on topics such as sustainability. Our goal is to use and manage resources responsibly and contribute to the environment and the community.
