The slogan of this place, as created by the family who own and run this property is “from history with love”. And that is indeed fitting since the original owners, the Zuviteo family can be traced back to 1397.
The family that owns it now has spent years authentically restoring this exquisite stone house which opened its doors to guests in 2020.
Located within the old city walls and just next to the Bokar Tower, close to the small city beach, this residence offers perfect harmony of an authentic historical setting which has been joined by modern technology
There are five carefully designed and appointed rooms including a large suite named Croazia. Each one is different since this was once a noble family’s home dating back to 1397 and there is a fascinating family tree framed chart on the wall close to the reception desk. Each room has a name relevant to some aspect of Korcula’s history.
There are two rooms on the ground floor, two rooms on the first floor and a suite on the top floor. All have walk-in shower in the bathroom and double beds (Queen or King Size). Croazia suite also has a free-standing bath.
The Residence is just 70 metres from St Mark’s Cathedral, museums, bars, restaurants and shops and the daily fresh green market which works from 6am-11am.
The owners have named the breakfast here the “boutique breakfast”, we guess because they created it to be small and beautiful. It comprises an extensive cold plate including smoked salmon, fresh breads and local jams, caviar and sparkling wine. Guests can either have it served in their room or can book a time for the little galley dining area to have breakfast there on their own.
A full buffet breakfast is also available at the four-star Hotel Korsal which is owned by the same family and is a 10-minute walk away.
We strongly recommend the Massimo Cocktail bar and the Kanavelic restaurant close by – among many other great places.
The whole residence can be booked for a minimum of 5 nights during May and October and for 7 nights in from June-September inclusive.
