The Agora Hotel

Pano Lefkara is the most beautiful village in Cyprus and UNESCO listed. The Adults Only, Agora, is its newest hotel; a luxury, 18 room boutique property, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and holder of a Michelin Key.

Originally the bustling centrally located, village market place, the renovation was three years in the making, thanks to the perseverance of Emilie Green Novel and Aleksander Eng who moved from Denmark, their homeland, having fallen in love with the island.

Decorated in subtle gentle shades, with extensive use of wood and locally crafted as well as antique furniture, this is a sophisticated hotel of considerable charm and overwhelming welcome. It is not easy to earn a Michelin Key.

The 18 rooms, none of which are identical, are divided into three groups. There are 9 petite rooms, 6 demi rooms, 1 junior suite and 2 grand suites. All are on the first floor with the exception of one demi room which also has wheelchair access. The intimate bar feels more like a cosy living room and the Novel restaurant, in the hotel’s own words, is where “the Mediterranean tradition of gathering around the table is reimagined through a refined yet unpretentious bistro kitchen. Local, seasonal ingredients shape a menu designed for sharing.”

In many ways the Agora heralds a new generation of small hotels on the island. This is a luxury, contemporary, boutique property with a European feel reinforced by the dedicated involvement of the owners.

Petite Room

These measure between 17 and 19 sqm and are with Queen size double beds. Amenities include mini fridge, Roberts Audio Bluetooth Sound system/TV, fibre-optic Wi-Fi, solid oak parquet flooring, Valpas smart legs, Duxiana mattresses, safety deposit box and bathrooms with shower.

Demi Room

These measure between 20 and 22 sqm and have king size double beds or twin beds. Bathrooms have underfloor heating and are with shower. These rooms also have a writing desk. Amenities include mini fridge, Roberts Audio Bluetooth Sound system/TV, fibre-optic Wi-Fi, solid oak parquet flooring, Valpas smart legs, Duxiana mattresses, safety deposit box and bathrooms with shower. One Demi Room is on the ground floor and has wheelchair access.

Junior Suite / Grand Suite

The Junior Suite measures 23 sqm and the 2 Grand Suites between 28 and 30 sqm. The suites have private balconies, king size double beds and free-standing, cast iron bath tubs set within the rooms.
