Amathus Hotel

Right on the beach, the Amathus was one of the first luxury hotels on the island. This iconic property has attracted repeat guests since its opening in 1973. In 1986 it became the first hotel on Cyprus to become a member of “The Leading Hotels of the World”.

Between 2024 and 2025 there have been major upgrades at the hotel. In the spring of 2025, the rooms were completely upgraded as were the common areas, hotel exterior and the salt water swimming pool. The Amathus Residences were added, as were the junior suites with private pool. For families, a floating water park was added and the large outdoor playground and kindergarten facilities were upgraded.

The hotel is 7 miles from the city centre and 12 miles from Limassol Harbour. Nicosia, the Island’s capital is 43 miles away and Paphos town 47 miles away. Larnaca Airport is 36 miles away and Paphos Airport 43 miles.

The Superior Sea View rooms are renovated lavish rooms of contemporary design and breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Luxury Sea View Room

The Luxury Sea View rooms were piloted in 2025 with a whole new floor added in winter 2026. These are a fantastic addition to the Hotel’s luxury bedrooms. At 42sqm they are 50% larger than the Superior Sea view rooms and feature, a large, enclosed wardrobe, a sofa bed for children and a bathroom running the full length of the room, with separate WC, twin basins, separate walk-in shower and a bathtub by the window with sea view. These rooms are located on the 3rd floor and have 2 balconies. These suites measure 52m², and consist of two rooms separated by a sliding door, a spectacular modern design master bedroom and a warm living room with a cosy salon. Measuring 78 sqm the Grand Suite features a beautifully designed bedroom with en suite bathroom with separate jacuzzi bath and shower. A second bedroom can be added to the suite by booking it together with an interconnecting superior sea view room.
