The Postmaster Hotel is a recent addition to Rovaniemi's accommodation portfolio, having opened its doors in December 2024. Housed within the city’s former post office, the property offers a compelling blend of history, space and contemporary Nordic design.

The building itself is deeply rooted in Rovaniemi’s post-war story, a time when the city was carefully reimagined as an efficient urban hub. Original architectural features have been thoughtfully preserved, from the impressive facade to the high ceilings and generously proportioned interiors. Former office rooms have been transformed into spacious guest accommodation and the wide corridors have been decorated with evocative photographs from the building’s postal past, lending the feel of a quiet gallery.

The hotel offers 49 rooms across four categories. Each room features a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and electric hobs, alongside underfloor heating and a well-appointed bathroom.

Public areas continue the theme of understated design and thoughtful detail. A buffet breakfast is served daily, while the bistro-style restaurant, Leima (named after the Finnish word for a postal stamp), offers a relaxed setting for dining, with lunch available at weekends.
