Porto Scoutari Hotel

Peacefully located above Meloi Bay, in some 8000 sq m of land and gardens, the 3-Star Porto Scoutari is an oasis of character, comfort and tranquility within a short walk of the beach and a mile from Skala harbour. Personally run by the owner, Mrs Elina Scoutari, this romantic hotel markets itself mainly for couples and has a loyal band of regulars, many of whom have been coming for years.

The hotel’s 34 rooms and suites are housed in three 2-storey buildings set behind the swimming pool. The rooms are individually furnished and decorated, and all possess queen or king sized bed, AC, TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, shower room and furnished balcony. WiFi is available in public areas.

The attractive swimming pool has good space for comfortable sun loungers and daybeds on its surrounding terrace, and pool towels are provided. The hotel has a small spa with hammam (treatments can be arranged) and fitness room. The terrace bistro-style restaurant is open in the higher seasons for lunch and dinner, and there is of course a bar. In the grounds the hotel has its own chapel which is on occasion used for weddings.

Mrs Elina’s touch is evident throughout the hotel’s furnishings, many of which are antique, and decor which often has a nautical theme. The hotel is very well reviewed with the helpful and friendly staff especially picked out for praise.

Sandy Miloi beach, backed by tamarisk trees for shade and with a handy taverna at one end, is a 12 minute walk (700m) and two more taverna restaurants are within a 15 minute stroll of the hotel. It is a 25 minute walk to Skala harbour and centre (1600m) but taxis can usually be found if you don't have your own transport.

Please note that the Porto Scoutari does not usually open its reservations early and we are unable to quote for a holiday until that point.

Standard Room

Double bedded with AC, TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, room safe, shower room and furnished balcony or terrace with pool or sea views. Pool/beach towels are provided. Please note that the standard sea view rooms are smaller than the pool view rooms.

Deluxe Sea View Room

Romantic rooms on the first (top) floor. They possess a king-sized bed (usually a four-poster), AC, TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, room safe, shower room and furnished balcony with fine sea views. Pool/beach towels are provided.

Junior Sea View Suite

Spacious and elegantly furnished (some antique) with a living room area. They possess a king-sized bed (four-poster), AC, TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, room safe, shower room and furnished balcony or terrace with sea views. Pool/beach towels are provided.
