Pousada Da Serra Da Estrela

The Estrela Natural Park, located in the north west and almost bordering on Spain, is one of the most visited in Portugal and home to many historical villages and castles. The mountain range is snow capped in winter and skiing is possible.

This newest Pousada was opened in 2014 having been completely refurbished by the award winning architect Eduardo Souto Moura. It was originally built in the 20th century as a sanitorium as its location at 1200 metres above sea level,  guaranteed the purity of the mountain air.  From the property there are dramatic views of the surrounding area.

• 90 air-conditioned rooms including classic rooms, superior rooms, spa rooms, junior suites and suites
