Day 1 - Day of arrival - Lefkas

On arrival at Preveza Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Lefkas.

This super little hotel ticks all the right Sunvil boxes – right on the beach; family-run and friendly; modern, comfortable rooms with brilliant views; quietly located yet within a few minutes’ walk of Nidri’s atmospheric waterfront and a wide enough choice of restaurants, café-bars and shops to satisfy all tastes. The ground floor garden terrace is where a light buffet breakfast is taken each morning. In the daytime the hotel’s snack bar means you can enjoy a drink, an ice cream or a light meal served to you either on the terrace or in the pretty gardens leading onto the beach.

Day 2 - Tour of Lefkas

After breakfast you will depart for a minibus tour of the island, including a walking tour of Lefkas Town. You will visit the Fanoremeni Monastery, with superb views of Paxos and a museum showcasing ancient books and manuscripts. You will stop at the charming coastal village of Agios Nikitas on the West coast. Here you can take in the views with a coffee or snack or browse the selection of small shops. Afterwards visit the long, sandy Kathisma Beach before heading for the traditional mountain village of Karya with its scenic views and folklore museum before lunch. The day ends with a a short drive and walk to the highest point to see the amazing views of the west and east coasts before making our way back down to another view point over the Princes islands.

Day 3 - Mount Skaros

Today you have two walking options up to Mount Skaros. From the village of Kolivata (above Nikiana) follow one of the red-dotted trails up into oak woods. The walk is approximately 10km round trip. It is rocky in places so ensure you have good walking boots. Here you'll come across grazing pigs, buzzards, paved footpaths, olive groves and vineyards, wild flowers and waist high bracken in spring, and spectacular views over the east coast from the summit mast. Lunch can be taken at a taverna in Kolivata.

Day 4 - Boat trip to Kastos and Kalamos

Today you will sail the azure blue waters of the Ionian onboard the M/S Christina, a Turkish-style gulet operated by an Anglo-Greek couple, Stelios and Jane. This trip offers a classic tour from Nidri that includes the often overlooked islet of Formekula, along with Kastos and Kalamos. This well-organised, full-day excursion starts around 08:30am and ends at around 18:00pm, featuring multiple swim stops (snorkeling equipment is provided), a delicious buffet lunch with wine (included), and a snack break at the Windmill Cafe on Kastos.

Day 5 - Sunset trip

Today's Sunset Trip begins at 4:30pm where you will travel along the south coast, through Vasiliki and upwards to the west coast. During this afternoon's journey you will stop at a local honey farm to learn about bees and their products, and to sample different types of honey. Then onto a viewpoint to see the iconic beach of Egrimi. As the light fades, continue your journey to Cape Doukato and the lighthouse at the southern tip of the island where you can take in the views of Ithaca and Kefalonia and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a snack (included) while watching the sunset over the Ionian Sea. To end your day, there is the option to have dinner at a traditional taverna. Return to hotel c 22.00-22.30

Day 6 - Day at leisure

Today you can discover the picturesque harbour town of Nidri, take a scenic boat trip to the nearby island of Meganissi or simply have a day of relaxation on the beach in front of your hotel.

Day 7 - Walking, Waterfalls and Winery

You will start today day with a refreshing walk (3km) through nature to the gorgeous cascading Dimossari Waterfall on the outskirts of Nidri. It takes about 40-50 minutes, and once there you can take in the scenery and get a coffee. From here the minibus will take you to the picturesque harbour village of Sivota. Afterwards you will visit the historic Sivros Monastery to look at the frescoes and learn about the Greek Orthodox Church. You have an opportunity to have lunch in Sivros, a traditional Greek village. In the afternoon you will visit the Fabricca Olive Oil Museum to see how olive oil is made and sample the different olive oils, followed by a wine tasting before getting back to your hotel at around 16.30.

Day 8 - Day of departure

Today you will have the opportunity to spend the morning relaxing at your hotel before your flight home in the afternoon. Alternatively, why not extend your holiday in Lefkas, the neighbouring island of Meganissi or our mainland resort villages of Sivota and Parga just up the coast.
