Day 1 - Day of arrival - Lefkas
On arrival at Preveza Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Lefkas.
The Palm Trees is a super little hotel that ticks all the Sunvil boxes – right on the beach; family-run and friendly; modern, comfortable rooms with brilliant views; quietly located yet within a few minutes’ walk of Nidri’s atmospheric waterfront and a wide enough choice of restaurants, café-bars and shops to satisfy all tastes. The ground floor garden terrace is where a buffet breakfast is taken each morning. In the daytime the hotel’s snack bar means you can enjoy a drink, an ice cream or a light meal served to you either on the terrace or in the pretty gardens leading onto the beach.

Day 2 - Olive Groves and Waterfalls
Your first day is a gentle introduction to the island with a refreshing walk through nature starting from Nidri through the olive groves up to Paleokatouna village, then on to Neohori and down to the waterfalls, where there is a café, before heading back to Nidri.
This walk is mainly along country lanes and tracks (some rocky parts) and takes about 4 hours (9-12 kms depending on routing, ascent 406m)

Day 3 - Nikiana to Karya
Today you will be driven to Nikiana for your walk to Karya. This is a moderate walk (13km) and will take approximately 4 hours.
We suggest stopping in Kolivata for a coffee and a break. Kolivata is a traditional Greek village surrounded by lush greenery and traditional stone houses and offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Kаrya is а large mоuntainous villаge situatеd in the cеntral part оf the islаnd. Thе village is аway frоm the beаches аnd Lefkas Тοwn but still has its оwn charm. In the pаst it was knоwn as a laсe-maкing centrе and still therе are сrafts shоps which sell hаndmade lаce аnd lacе decоrated сlοthes.
This walk can be replaced with an easier and shorter walk from Kolivata village through the oak forests to the summit of Mount Skaros - fabulous scenery and views via mountain road and footpaths (slightly rocky in parts) - 10 kms / c 3 hours moderate walking (ascent 250m).

Day 4 - Sivros Springs
Today you will be driven to Sivros for your walk to the spring and waterfalls. These springs run all year round no matter how long the island is without water so it is unique on the island. This is a moderate 7.8 km walk with a 512m ascent mainly on tracks and will take approximately 3 hours. Refresh yourself by drinking from the spring and also at the traditional taverna in the village square under the trees at the end of the walk. Finish the day with a visit to the olive oil museum here (entrance included).

Day 5 - Day at leisure
Today you can discover the picturesque harbour town of Nidri, take a scenic boat trip around the nearby Prince's islands (including Onassis' Skorpios), have an island tour to see the highlights of the island (cost not included) or simply have a day of relaxation on the beach in front of your hotel.

Day 6 - Mount Elati and Englouvi
Elati is Lefkas' highest peak at 1182m and today you will have a choice of walks here culminating in stunning views. The short easy route is a 4.7 kms walk that takes c 2 1/2 hours (ascent 166m). The longer route is moderate walking for 11.5 kms that takes c 4-4.5 hours. After the walking you will be driven to the village of Englouvi, arguably one of the most beautiful mountainous spots of Lefkas and the highest-built village on the island. A stroll around it allows you to admire the stone houses with arched doors, a square with plane and mulberry trees and cobbled streets. The locals are very hospitable and it is not rare to encounter women wearing the traditional Lefkadian costume. This small fertile village is well-known for the production of lentils and for its traditional architecture. Lunch in a traditional village taverna (paid locally).
