Santiago Holidays
Santiago holidays
You will immediately notice that Chile’s capital has a very European feel to it. Santiago’s historic architecture competes for the skyline alongside modern-day skyscrapers. Although Santiago may not have the striking qualities of Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires, it quickly proves itself to be a pleasant and entertaining city.
With over 5 million inhabitants - Santiago contains 40% of Chile’s population - it is the financial, cultural and educational core of the country. Its worth is often dismissed because of problems with smog pollution which lingers above the city (winter only) - mainly due to the fact that the city is crowded with vehicles and surrounded on all sides by mountains.
There is a smart and efficient metro system which is a convenient and cheap way of getting around town. The city also has two racecourses, which are normally open at weekends.

Please note that all the international flights arrive very early into Santiago. Access to rooms is only guaranteed from 14.00 onwards. However, we do appreciate that you will be weary from your long flight and therefore, our local agents will always do their best to try and obtain access to your room as early as possible. We recommend, in order to guarantee an immediate check-in (particularly during the peak months of January and February when the hotels are very full) that you ask us to add the previous nights accommodation (at a supplement).Early morning arrival in Santiago
