The Travel Foundation

The Travel Foundation is a UK charity that cares for the places we love to visit. Your holiday can make a real difference to your favourite destinations. It can help protect the natural environment, traditions and culture – the things that make your visit special. And it can improve the well-being of local families – so that more people benefit from your visit. All of which can make your holiday experience even better! Most importantly, it can help ensure that there are great places for us all to visit – for generations to come.

Sunvil, along with several other travel companies, is supporting the work of the Travel Foundation by donating £1 from every holiday booked to the charity and providing help in kind in the way of complimentary flights, accommodation and other services in order to help the workings of the charity.
 
This has helped set up the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI) where we encourage people to discover the ‘real’ Cyprus through the ‘village routes’. The CSTI has produced a booklet promoting a series of self-drive routes in Cyprus. The aim of the programme is to increase the diversity and quality of the tourism product whilst benefiting rural communities. Please ask Angela, our local manager, for a copy.

Our Chairman, Noel Josephides, also devotes a lot of his management/advisory time to the charity, having chaired the trustees for the past six years.
