It’s the stunning location of this hotel which makes it so special. From its eagle's nest vantage point at the summit of Lapland's southernmost fell, panoramic views stretch for miles around - over the lakes and forests of the Syöte National Park. This scene is breathtaking at any time of year, but in the winter months it is truly magical.
Owned by a passionate, locally born, husband and wife team - who have worked for 25 years to create the hotel - and a very dedicated and long serving staff, the Iso-Syote is very much a part of the Syote region community. The hotel supports local businesses, has its own sustainable development programme, generates heat from burning wood waste from a nearby sawmill and constantly monitors its impact on the local environment. It counts the adjacent National Park as its closest working partner.
Food using locally sourced ingredients, panoramic views, unspoiled nature as far as the eye can see, and design and furnishings pristine and very Scandinavian.
