At the heart of the Syote fell, and very much at the heart of its community, the Kide Hotel is a warm and welcoming, family-run property where genuine hospitality comes as naturally as the surrounding snow. Its ethos is rooted in a simple philosophy: encouraging guests to embrace the outdoors and experience Syote as the Terentjeff family themselves do, whatever the season and whatever the weather.
The hotel is located at the base of the Syote ski slopes, offering a convenient position in one of Finland’s most snow-sure regions. Syote has 18 slopes, with runs of up to 1200m, and consistently good snow conditions. The chairlift can also be used for sightseeing, rewarding non-skiers with expansive views across the surrounding forests and frozen lakes.
Beyond skiing, the owners are closely involved in the running of the resort and curate their own weekly activity programme, designed to get guests outside and immersed in the Arctic landscape. Activities include guided snowshoe walks, aurora excursions, skiing, e-fat biking snowmobile tours and husky safaris. As the programme operates on set days, holidays are best built around these activities, allowing you to tailor your stay to best suit your interests.
The Kide Hotel has 60 rooms in total and a relaxed, informal atmosphere, with an a la carte restaurant and half board offered as either a buffet or a two-choice set menu, depending on guest numbers. Four glass-roofed suites are located around 750 metres from the hotel, ideal for nights spent watching the northern skies.
Whether you are here to explore, unwind or simply spend more time outdoors, the Kide Hotel offers a refreshingly personal base, shaped by the people who know Syote best.
