Costa Marina Villa

The Costa Marina is something of an oasis in busy Fira. Although just a short walk from the centre of town, the bus station and the edge of the caldera, this small family-run hotel is quietly tucked away down a side road, thus enabling peaceful nights away from the bustle yet within easy reach of all the attractions Fira offers.

The hotel has delightful garden surrounds and comprises 20 twin or double-bedded rooms on its three floors. Furnished in a simple traditional style, they all offer AC, WiFi, TV, mini-fridge, tea-making facilities and a decent shower room. All ours possess a covered balcony or a good-sized charming ground floor garden terrace.

The helpful owners, Lila and Kostas, are a mine of information and enjoy helping guests make the most of their stay.

From here it is a short walk up the hill to the centre of Fira (5 minutes) and 2-3 more to the edge of the caldera. The main bus station is a 7-minute walk and provides a good island-wide service, making Fira the best place to stay for exploration of Santorini.

A simple but very comfortable small hotel, a personally run restful home-from-home in Fira, and with considerably more charm and character than most town hotels here.

Please note that breakfast is taken at the family's restaurant a 4 minute walk (300m) from the hotel.
