Esperas Hotel

Oia is the prettiest and most upmarket of Santorini's cliff-top villages, and famed for its sunset. In a peaceful location a ten minute walk from the centre of the village, and built down the cliffside (so plenty of steps), the 4 Star Esperas enjoys the most fantastic caldera views.

The hotel's 21 rooms and suites are mostly designed in the traditional island 'cave' style, being built into the cliff. All have a sea/caldera view terrace, and all, with the exception of the Lifestyle Studios and the Esperas Suite, possess the famous sunset views also. Amenities in all include Queen-sized beds with mattresses made of all natural materials, individual air conditioning, tea-making facilities, mini-bar, Sat TV, room-safe, WiFi, shower room with luxury bathroom amenities, hairdryer, slippers and bathrobes. 

Some units are split level over two floors. Houses offer more space than the studios. Suites have a living room area - some open-plan with the bedroom(s), some separate - and (Vibrant Suite apart) a private Jacuzzi / plunge pool on the terrace.

The swimming pool is (for cliff accommodation) a reasonable size at 70 sq m and is heated off-season - carved into the rock it has a surrounding terrace and snack bar. The hotel has a restaurant, offers private dining and breakfast can be served to your room terrace (local service charge). The Esperas has received various awards over recent years, including for the Ombra restaurant and a Green Key for its eco-friendly policies.

The Esperas occupies a truly privileged location, one of the best on Santorini, and has the views, style, comfort and facilities to match. Please note that children under 16 years of age are discouraged, and the inevitable many steps make a stay here unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems.
