Skyros Nefeli Hotel

The Nefeli is our chosen hotel for those wishing to stay in Chora. It is the best in town by some distance (official category 4 stars) and offers a peaceful location with lush gardens, a good restaurant and a large pool.

The hotel’s 37 rooms are housed in five small two-storey buildings set around the gardens and pool area. There is a range of room types and styles here, from modern to traditional. All possess double bed, individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room (some with bath), hairdryer and a furnished balcony with pool, garden and/or village views. Some are split level and open plan with a gallery bedroom a few steps above a living room area containing one or two sofa beds.

Standard and Deluxe rooms have a fresh modern style. Skyrian Residences are split level and modeled on the traditional houses of the island - as such they are furnished in the typical island style with hand carved wood furniture (some antique) and local ceramics for decoration on the walls. The Stone Residence rooms are also split level with a traditional style. The pair on the ground floor units have large terraces and share their own pool. The hotel’s flagship unit is the Suite which has two bedrooms and a private pool.

The hotel offers a highly praised breakfast and an awarded a la carte terrace restaurant featuring home cooking and ingredients from their own gardens and farm (which guests can visit). Room service is available.

The large swimming pool measures 22m x 12m (filtered seawater - depth 1.40m-3.0m with ladder access) and has a low key pool bar adjacent.

Located at the entrance to the town, it is a five minute walk up the hill (a steady incline but nothing very steep) to the centre where you will find a good choice of restaurants, as well as cafes and the usual array of characterful small shops lining the narrow village streets, many selling artisan local produce. The hotel has parking and is a 5 minute drive from Magazia Beach.

Standard Room

(20 sqm) Double bedded (King-size) with individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room, hairdryer and a balcony with pool, garden or village views.

Deluxe Room

(30 sqm) Double bedded (King-size) with individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room (some with bath), hairdryer and a large furnished balcony with pool, garden or village views. The additional space allows for an open-plan living space with sofa bed (two in the Family Deluxe Room which can sleep up to 4). Deluxe Rooms are split level and and some also have a bath.

Skyrian Residence

(29 sqm) Double bedded with individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room, hairdryer and a large furnished balcony with village views. Skyrian Residences are split level with a sleeping gallery 6 steps up from the living room, which has two sofa beds.

Stone Residences (ground floor with shared pool)

Two spacious (35-40 sq m) ground floor units for couples only and sharing a swimming pool to the front. Double bedded with individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room, hairdryer and a large covered furnished terrace with pool and garden views. Modern decor and furnishings.

Stone Residences (first floor)

First floor open-plan split-level units (35-40 sq m) for 2-4 persons. Ground floor living room with 2 sofa beds and steps up to a wooden sleeping gallery above (double bed). Amenities include individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, shower room, hairdryer and a large covered terrace with pool and garden views. Modern decor and furnishings.

Suite with private pool

(90 sqm) Luxurious Suite on two floors with two double bedrooms, individual AC, TV, WiFi, mini-fridge, room safe, two shower rooms, a dry sauna, hairdryer, kitchen facilities, sofa bed and first floor balcony with village views. The pool measures 4.20m x 3.50m (ladder access) and is located in the very private walled courtyard to the rear.
