Perivoli Country Hotel and Retreat

This stylish modern country hotel is some 8-10 kms inland (c 15-20 minutes drive) respectively from historic Nafplion and the sandy beaches of Tolon. It is a restful, tasteful and most comfortable base from which to explore this fascinating corner of the Peloponnese and has beautiful rural views from its hilltop location.

Attentively run by brothers Vangelis and Alecos, the hotel offers an eco-friendly stay where traditional hospitality, activities and respect for the environment co-exist with modern facilities.

The hotel has only a dozen rooms. Rooms are spacious (c 27 sq m) and double or twin-bedded with all mod cons – facilities include a walk-in shower, air conditioning, TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, WiFi and a good-sized private terrace or balcony with lovely country views over the pool to surrounding hills. One room has been adapted for disabled use and, despite having only two floors, the hotel has a lift.

Public areas include a large and stylish lounge, a café-bar, a roof terrace and a large pool measuring 14.5 m x 7.5 m. A good buffet breakfast is laid out each morning highlighting regional and home-made produce. The traditional village of Pyrgiotika is just a 3 minute drive away and has a pair of good local tavernas (others can be found nearby) as well as a huge choice in Nafplion or Tolon,

The hotel can advise on a range of local activities, including walking, and also offers massage treatments and yoga (subject to demand/availability). The famous archaeological sites of ancient Epidavros and Mycenae are a half-hour drive away. A car is included in our prices as we consider it to be essential here - the hotel can be booked for short stays as part of a fly-drive itinerary.

Amenities include anatomical mattresses, a walk-in shower, air conditioning, WiFi, TV, mini-fridge, room safe, hairdryer and a private terrace or balcony with views over the pool to the surrounding countryside and hills. One room has been adapted for disabled use.

Superior Room

Double or twin-bedded (c 27 sq m) at first floor level. Amenities include anatomical mattresses, a walk-in shower, air conditioning, WiFi, TV, mini-fridge, room safe, hairdryer and a private terrace or balcony with views over the pool to the surrounding countryside and hills. Superior rooms have a traditional fireplace (purely decorative in the summer!) and sunbeds on their front terrace.
