Terra Nostra Garden Hotel

The Terra Nostra Garden is one of the best hotels on the island of Sao Miguel. Well positioned next to the Terra Nostra botanical park, the hotel is made up of two adjoining buildings: the Art Deco Wing, built in the 1930’s which has maintained its architectural history; and the Garden Wing, added much later in the 1990’s. Many of the bedrooms, along with the restaurant and indoor swimming pool, enjoy fabulous views over the world famous, extensive botanical gardens - owned by the hotel.

Guests dining here are treated to local Azorean products, with a focus on the Cozido, a sustainable meal fully cooked underground using the natural heat of the volcanic hot springs - a must for any visitor to the islands.

Cosy art deco rooms (17sqm) are air-conditioned and have a bathroom (bath and/or shower), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools and face either the parking area with a backdrop of wooded hills, mountains or Casino restaurant. Some art deco rooms interconnect – one interconnects with a suite.

Garden View Room

Garden view rooms (19sqm) are air-conditioned and have a bathroom (bath and/or shower – 2 rooms do not have a bath), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools and garden view. Some garden view rooms interconnect.

Superior Garden View Room

Superior garden view rooms (23 sqm), located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, are air-conditioned and have a bathroom (bath and/or shower – 2 rooms do not have a bath), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools and balcony with garden view. These rooms will accommodate an extra bed for a child/teen (2-19yrs).

Deluxe Garden View Room

Deluxe garden view rooms (23sqm), located on the 1st floor, are air-conditioned and have a bathroom (bath and/or shower), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools and French doors that open on to a terrace with direct access to the botanical gardens.

Suite

Suites (37sqm) in the main building are located in the art deco wing on the 1st floor. All suites are air-conditioned and have a bathroom (bath and/or shower), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools and face either the parking area with a backdrop of wooded hills, mountains or Casino restaurant. One suite interconnects with a cosy art deco room.

Garden House Suite

Garden House Suites (82 sqm) are housed in a separate building ‘Casa do Parque’ located by the botanical park’s thermal outdoor pool. Garden suites with air-conditioning, bathroom (bath and/or shower), hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, minibar, complimentary WiFi, bathrobe and towel for the thermal pools.
