The picturesque town of Flåm, at the head of the narrow Aurlandsfjord, is surrounded by steep mountainsides, roaring waterfalls and lush valleys. It is this awe-inspiring scene, as well as the close proximity to unspoiled nature, that has attracted visitors since the 1800s. Today, Flåm and its historical 20km railway, listed by the Telegraph as one of the top ten railway journeys in the world, is considered a must-see for any visitor to the Norwegian fjords.

The Flåmsbrygga Hotel offers comfortable guest accommodation in the heart of Flåm, just metres from the waterfront. Each room affords views towards the busy harbour and fjord and, with their pine walls, has a warm and cosy atmosphere. Opposite the hotel, the Flåmstova restaurant serves traditional cuisine with a distinct focus on locally sourced produce whilst next door, Ægir, the hotel’s micro-brewery and brewpub, produces a wide variety of beers and aquavit and serves a Viking themed menu.
