A little under 5 kms from the bustling heart of Chania, Agii Apostoli is the perfect choice for those wanting to combine a beach holiday with easy access to the bright lights of the atmospheric Venetian city. Agii Apostoli has three beautifully sandy bays yet a 15 minute bus ride (very frequent service) takes you to the city centre.

Flamingos is just a 3 minute walk from two of the beaches here, and a further 5 minutes to the third. It has 39 apartments, housed in a number of 2- or 3-storey buildings set in gardens with a swimming pool to the rear.

The studios are roomy at 25 sq m and twin bedded (can be made into a double on request). All possess light kitchen facilities (cooking rings, fridge), and balcony with garden or pool views. Amenities include AC, TV, WiFi, hairdryer and a room safe. Standard studios possess traditional Cretan furnishings and a bathroom with hip-bath and shower above, the superiors have a more classic style, albeit still simple, and a shower room.

The 1 bedroom apartments (45 sq m) are similar with the addition of a living room containing one or two sofa beds for children. The Superior Deluxe has a more modern style. There are also maisonette apartments of 2 floors with a twin bedded room, kitchen and shower room downstairs and double bedroom above, also with shower room. The maisonettes have two balconies, and one has a huge private furnished terrace with sea views.

The pool is of a good size with ladder access, and has a children’s section - pool and beach towels can be provided on request. The low-key pool bar here serves drinks, ice creams and toasted sandwiches during the day. Breakfast can be had at a local charge.

There is a choice of taverna restaurants, cafes and small shops to choose from within a 5-10 minute walk, and the bus stop for Chania is nearby.
