Please bear in mind that local conditions have to be taken into account when booking activities. However, the activities described are discussed individually with your guides locally so that the duration and time suit your requirements. It is not a question of having an activity at a fixed time.
Dog Sled Tour
Experience the thrill of a husky dog pulled sled gliding along the pristine snow-covered ground where all you can hear is the nature around you. When the sleigh is released, the dogs silently proceed ahead through the frozen wetlands. These safaris are led by experienced husky guides who take great care of their dogs and maintain the natural environment with which you will be travelling through.

Dogsled Overnight Tour
Drive your own team of huskies on an exciting dog sled adventure in search of the Northern Lights. The tour begins at the kennels and there is plenty of time before departure to build a relationship with your dogs and to learn about the equipment you will be using. You will then travel through the snow-covered forests for a 2-day tour including an overnight stay in a wilderness cabin. There is no WiFi or electricity here, instead the surrounding nature calls for you to connect and your senses are heightened. Why not relax around the roaring fire whilst your host prepares your evening meal, take a wood-fired sauna or take a seat outside and watch the skies above. Breakfast is served the following morning, before re-harnessing your team of dogs and mushing back to the kennels.

Forest Skis
You will be kitted out with forest skis and then head out towards a lake outside the village. Here you will have lunch prepared on an open fire. The guide will explain about the local wildlife and nature. The tour will take around 2 or 4 hours and can be a little challenging. However, the route can be adjusted to suit guests’ fitness levels.

Ice Fishing
Venture out onto a frozen lake where you will be shown how to drill a hole and experience the joy of ice fishing. Lunch is prepared at the campsite. Ice fishing is a truly serene experience where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. Whatever is caught, is later cooked at the guesthouse and enjoyed around the dinner table.

Icehotel Visit
It is possible to visit the world famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, either upon arrival or departure from Lapland Guesthouse. The Icehotel is located approx. 20-minutes away (15km) from Kiruna Airport. The tour includes a local guide service, lunch and free time to explore the resort and ice structure.

- Due to the unique nature of the original ICEHOTEL, it takes a different form each year. Opening and closing dates are very much dependent on the weather.
- The ICEHOTEL 365 will accept guests year-round. Arrivals in November may be able to see the sculptors at work.
- The ICEHOTEL is a museum during the day from 10am until 6pm.
Northern Lights Tour
Everyone should experience the Aurora Borealis in their lifetime. It is simply an enchanting experience to see the light play over the night sky. Of course, there are no guarantees that the lights will appear but if the weather is clear, no clouds, you may just be fortunate enough to witness this phenomenon. It is impossible to predict when the Northern Lights will occur. But here at Lapland Guesthouse, in the Arctic landscape, we have the perfect conditions to experience the magic show.

Quad Driving on Ice and Snow
- Race along a unique track on four-wheel drive quads along the riverbed of the Lainio River. It is a challenging course in a beautiful environment through abandoned farms and deserted houses and through the turns in the ice-covered landscape. Lunch is included in the open while you take turns competing against each other and hone your driving skills.

Reindeer visit by Car or Reindeer visit by Snowmobile
Join a reindeer safari and get close to these amazing and mythical animals. Reindeer have always been a large part of traditional life in Sápmi (Lapland). You are transported by either snowmobile or by car/minibus through beautiful and magnificent landscapes with many opportunities for photo stops. An outdoor lunch is served, alongside the reindeer, and coffee brewed over an open fire.

Snowmobiles - The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 16 years old and in possession of a driving licence valid in Sweden. Children and minors can accompany an adult by riding behind the driver as a passenger or they can sit in a sleigh
Snow Cube Sculpting
You will be given a snow cube (approx. 1m x 1m x 2m) and the tools to carve it. After a short introduction, you will learn how to sculpt your own creation in ice. It will be an activity that you work on for a day or for the duration of your stay - the choice is yours.

Snowmobile Tour
Enjoy a snowmobile safari across the Arctic snow-white landscape. Travelling on a snowmobile through untouched nature is an exciting and unforgettable adventure. To drive a snowmobile you need a valid driving licence. No previous experience is required, as you will be taught how to safely drive on snow. If you do not have a driving licence or for younger guests, you can ride behind the driver or in a sleigh.

Snowmobile Overnight Tour
This guided snowmobile tour will transport you through the snow-covered forests to a traditional wilderness cabin, situated on the waters-edge. There is no WiFi or electricity here, instead the surrounding nature calls for you to connect and your senses are heightened. Why not relax around the roaring fire whilst your host prepares your evening meal, take a wood-fired sauna or take a seat outside and watch the skies above. Breakfast is served the following morning, before heading back to the guesthouse.

Snowshoe Tour
Trek through the serene winter wonderland of Swedish Lapland on snowshoes. This guided tour will depart from the Lapland Guesthouse in Kangos and go high up in the north above the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland. There will be stops for photos and lunch as you travel through the wilderness. This activity is for all ages and fitness levels and will offer a unique experience on foot.
