Get in touchAllow us to whet your appetite for a Sunvil holiday with our collection of inspiring blogs, compiled by the Sunvil team and our guest writers. From sharing our favourite viewpoints and local tavernas, to recommending those must-see attractions and the experiences that we ourselves have enjoyed, our blogs are styled to give you a taste of the real destination.
Kefalonia is abundant with natural beauty, secluded beaches, rugged nature and spectacular scenery, so it is no surprise our guests return to the island year after year. Our local representatives on Kefalonia, Amy and Cheryl have chosen to make this emerald isle their home and despite living in different corners of the island they both agree that one of the highlights of Kefalonia is the Melissani Lake.
Parga is the only true resort in Epirus, the mountainous province of north west Greece. The countryside here remains green, fresh and unblemished throughout the summer. The natural surroundings are beautiful, with hills covered in olive, pine and cypress, which complement the indented coastline and wooded islets just offshore. With a car you can easily explore this unspoiled gem. It is an activity highly recommended by our representative, Debra, who shares her recent experiences in this blog.
It does exist! An unspoiled island with a Greek flavour, very few tourists, excellent sandy beaches, a characterful port, and a direct flight. It is no wonder why Lemnos holds a special place in Peter and Anant’s hearts; “everyone has a favourite Greek island and ours is Lemnos”.
The majestic Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi opened in 1989. In addition to being a hotel, it is also an art exhibition, with original art in both ice and snow that changes from season to season. Each winter a new version of Icehotel is created entirely from ice harvested from the Torne River, one of Sweden's National Heritage Rivers and protected from hydroelectric development.
Have you been dreaming of a return to the dazzling shores of Greece, but with this dream comes slight apprehension as you don’t quite know what to expect? This of course is both natural and understandable; which is why we aim to provide an insight into travel post-lockdown, as our first clients begin to arrive in Lemnos, the Peloponnese, on Ikaria, Lefkas, Corfu, Paxos and Kefalonia.
